Twilight to Dagruel, Rumbling of Heaven and EarthTwilight Valentine ｢トワイライト・バレンタイン, towairaito barentain｣ was a being created by Veldanava to serve as the ancestor of humans. They are responsible for the creation of Humans, demi-humans, and various other races such as the vampires and giants.
After faking their death, they collaborated with Velzard in an effort to surpass the True Dragons, eventually becoming her manas.[1]
Appearance[]
Twilight has an appearance almost identical to that of their other-self Luminous Valentine. Their short silver hair shines a lustrous silver and their eyes are a glowing red-blue heterochromia albeit opposite of Luminous' eyes. While Luminous is notable for being female, Twilight is genderless and lacks sexual characteristics. They are however noted as looking more masculine than feminine at a glance.[1]
Twilight wears an unbuttoned bright red business suit, with a blue turtleneck in place of a shirt and stylish white shoes with golden trim.
Personality[]
Though originally a person with a pure and curious personality, after a certain incident transpired Twilight became warped. The current Twilight could best be described as a mad scientist who is the epitome of selfishness, conducting numerous experiments regardless of the ethics or consequences purely out of idle curiosity.
As part of their experiments, they had their heart core frozen by Velzard. As a result of this, Twilight is no longer capable of growing as an individual and has locked their warped personality in place.
However, notably, Twilight isn't truly evil; they are simply the ultimate egoist ｢究極の利己主義者, kyūkyoku no egoisuto｣, who would do anything for themself, regardless of whether it is a good or bad deed. They do not have any desire to either rule or destroy the world, only caring about their experiments and satiating their greed for knowledge.
Background[]
In the early days of the world, during the age of myth, Veldanava created Twilight as one of the earliest beings. Twilight was supposed to populate the world with immortals, but lacking the ability to reproduce they took to experimenting on their own body. As the fruit of this research, the high humans and Vampires were born, strong but imperfect lifeforms that were incapable of fulfilling Veldanava's wishes.[2]
Continuing with their research, diversity began to increase. Humans, Demi-humans, and all other matter of life began to populate the earth. With Veldanava finally satiated, humanity was spread across various dimensions[3] and various kingdoms soon arose led by Twilight's "children", the Pupils of the Ancestor.[4]
At some point after this, a certain incident occurred and Twilight's personality became corrupted and twisted. Their curiosity was replaced with an insatiable Greed for knowledge and they began conducting various in-humane experiments in pursuit of perfection. Twilight became infatuated with the karmic fates of surpassing their parent and killing god. To this end, they teamed up with Velzard and faked their death, aiming to surpass the True Dragons and dwelling inside Velzard. Eventually Twilight evolved and became a being of pure information, a Manas.[1]
