The Trinity Wisemen ｢最古参の三賢人, toriniti waizuman, lit. "Three Ancient Sages"｣ are a sub-group of the Pupils of the Ancestor who, for a time, served under Luminous Valentine, but eventually parted ways after having several disagreements. They act as the rulers of the Magic Tower, where they gather scholars and magicians to conduct research.

The Wisemen, who were already harboring bitter feelings for Luminous due to her murder of Twilight Valentine, had various disagreements with her about how the world should be ruled, resulting in the three parting ways from her and her kingdom. They made their way to the southeast, creating the Magic Tower just off the ocean's coast.
The three still harbored feelings of resentment towards Luminous due to not only her actions and style of rule but also for holding the position of being Twilight's Masterpiece while they were considered failures. They sought to disprove their inferiority to her by performing an act that even she couldn't accomplish, defeating the Storm Dragon Veldora.
It didn't take long for mages and those seeking to become mages to flock to the tower seeking apprenticeship, with the Kingdom of Malukshure eventually forming as a result. The Wisemen quickly had the royal family under their thumb, exploiting their reliance on the tower to take as much Magic Power from its citizens while also offering them various protections and assurances in return.
The preparations for their plans were slowly but surely starting to fall into place. Malukshure had built itself up as a reliable and esteemed nation that could act as a springboard into world conquest, while Pippin began developing a technique that she was confident could beat Veldora. However, just as all the preparations were in place, their plans were foiled by the trio of Rimuru, Hinata, and Veldora. They had succeeded in subduing Veldora and Hinata, but were all beaten single-handedly by Rimuru's unusual strength.
Admitting their loss to Rimuru, the three gave up on their plans for world conquest, instead setting their sights on exploring the vast world around them. In the short-term they plan on constructing a massive vessel capable of exploring the various oceans in conjunction with Rimuru, but holding a long-term goal to one day explore the vast ocean of stars that fill the night sky.
