Thunder tigers ｢白雷虎, sandā taigā, lit. "White Electric Tiger"｣ are a species of high-ranking magic beasts tamed by the Beast Kingdom of Eurazania.
Abilities[]
Thunder Tigers are magical beasts boasting both immense size and strength, being apex predators of A-rank. They are far stronger than even medium elementals and are indeed known to consume spiritual life-forms. They don't possess higher intelligence or even the ability to properly understand human speech, but they do have a strong instinctual awareness of their own strength and those who surpass it, making it fairly easy for stronger individuals to domesticate them.[1]
They possess the ability to generate and discharge pale blue electricity from their fur to devastating effect, an ability shared with their owner, the white-tiger claw Suphia.[2]
Appearance[]
Beyond their extremely large size and the lightning running across their bodies, thunder tigers look nearly identical to regular tigers. In the anime, their fur is mostly pale orange, but the kanji in their name would suggest that it is meant to be white instead.
