The Ogres' Story ｢大鬼族の事情, ōga no jijō｣ is the fourteenth chapter of the manga adaptation of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

Summary[]
Rimuru creates a large Black Flame ball, wanting to show the difference in strength and make the ogres surrender. The princess ogre realizes the flame isn't from the surrounding areas magicules but from Rimuru's own internal supply. However, the leader ogre tells the old ogre to take the princess and run, as he would rather die trying to avenge his people than live in humiliation. The old ogre also decides to join him, however the princess ogre stands in their way, explaining that this isn't their enemy.
As the leader ogre calms down, Rimuru reveals their true slimey form and explains the mask is a memento from a friend. They give it to them and they confirm that while it looks similar, its a bit different from the ones the majin with the orcs used. The leader ogre apologizes for mistaking them for the enemy.
As the goblins wake up, Rimuru tells everyone, including the ogres, to come to the town as they have questions for them.
Rimuru's first meal
Back in town, the banquet starts. Rimuru tastes the food and finds it delicious. The ogres explain that orc tribe had attacked them and only six of them remain. Kaijin find its surprising that the weaker orcs would attack and even defeat the stronger ogres. Rimuru compliments that the leader ogre that his sister, the princess ogre, is quite knowledgeable on the medical and aromatic herbs.
Rimuru wonders what are the ogres plans for the future. Seeing they has no plans and would just eventually havw tofight the orcs, Rimuru invites him to stay in their town, commenting that way they will have a safe home and will also increase the village battle power. The ogre explains he needs time to decide and one of his comrades tells him its a good proposition.
Having considered the offer, the leader ogre later visits Rimuru and explains they are a battle-oriented people willing to serve and fight for a strong master, considering Rimuru worthy of being their master.
Knowing that he chose it for the good of his tribe, Rimuru wishes to reward them and make sure he won't regret his decision, telling the leader to gather all ogres.
