The Hero-King's Judgement ｢英雄王の審判, eiyū-ō no shinpan｣ is the seventh chapter of the manga adaptation of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
Summary[]
Imprisonment
In the court, only nobles above the rank of an earl are allowed to freely speak. Rimuru and the rest are not allowed to speak and if they do, they will be considered guilty. The lawyer that Rimuru and the dwarfs got, seems suspicious too.
As soon as he starts talking in court, he easily blames Kaijin and the rest and states Vesta's innocence. That causes Rimuru to realize the lawyer was bought by Vesta.
Back in their cell, Kaijin explains that Vesta used to be his subordinate, but as Kaijin is from a peasant family, Vesta didn't want to work under him and caused lots of trouble. One day Vesta acted alone on a big project which failed and as a result, Kaijin had to take responsibility and resign.
Garm, Dord and Myrd tried to defend Kaijin, but they also ended up being kicked from the army. However, Kaijin doesn't believe Vesta is a bad guy and states that he is hard worker and if Kaijin leaves the country, he may even work harder.
Vesta wants severe punishment and seeing that, Rimuru can't believe thag he isn't a bad person. Knowing Kaijin for a long time, the king, Gazel Dwargo, asks Kaijin how he is and if he intends to return to the army, but Kaijin explains that he had found a new master and even if he orders him, he won't come back. Hearing that, the king declares that Kaijin and the rest will be exiled and not allowed to return.
Gobta catches up
As everyone clear the court, Gazel shows the healing medicine that Rimuru made and explains that its much better than theirs and that the slime had brought it. Because of Vesta's action, the contact with the slime is severed. Gazel asks him if there is something he has to say.
Recalling how much he wished to help the king, Vesta realizes he went the wrong way and this was caused by his jealousy of Kaijin, and comments there is nothing he has to say. Gazel then forbids him from stepping into the castle, but comments he had worked hard. The king orders his secret division to monitor Rimuru.
Outside of the country, Rimuru introduces the dwarves to the wolves and goblins, but the dwarfs are shocked of the Tempest Wolves. Gobta the joins them crying, but Rimuru promises to bring him to a bar full of beautiful ladies and he gets happy.
Elsewhere, Fuze gives Kaval's Party three days of vacation, after which he wants them to investigate the forest again. While complaining about it outside, Shizu approaches them and asks if she can come with them.

Trivia[]
- All instances of "Hero King" are actually supposed to be "Champion King," as the "Hero" part here in any other instances are referred to as Champion (英雄 eiyū) and never as Hero (勇者 yūsha). So technically it should be Champion King (英雄王 eiyū-ō), but the official translators decided to stick with the term Hero King instead, although the English Yen Press Light Novel translation sometimes does use "Champion King."
