- WIKI POLICY
This is an official policy of the Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Wiki. Violations of the rules covered below are punishable according to the standard model outlined in the blocking policy unless stated otherwise. Attempts to exploit a loophole by obfuscating the intent behind a rule will still be punished accordingly. Some cases may be forwarded to Fandom staff.
This page outlines the Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Wiki's code of conduct, a set of rules that members of the community are compelled to follow. It sets the standard for how interactions and disputes between contributors should be carried out.
Respect the majority decision
An overarching rule that applies to all members of the community, administrators and regular editors alike, is that all editors have equal say in the content that goes into our articles. Neither seniority nor activity gives one contributor the final say over another contributor. If a party of contributors disagrees with a change that a party of fewer contributors has made, they have a right to undo it. Likewise, a party of more contributors than another can make a change that the latter opposes. If an equal number of contributors are each for and against a decision, no actions should be taken until a third party gives their support to one side.
It is encouraged to settle disputes on the talk page of the article in question so that future editors can view the discussion and see the arguments for both sides of the decision in case they want to revive the matter. However, it is not compulsory and disputes may be settled on a user's message wall or off of Fandom. The only restriction is that non-personal disputes that invite external opinions must be held on talk pages so they remain accessible to everyone.
Maintain civil discourse
When two contributors get into an argument, conversations might get heated if one or both editors start to feel frustrated. However, it is strictly disallowed to resort to personal attacks or backhanded comments about one's personal life. Only attack the argument, never the user.
If someone makes a targeted attack on another contributor based on their ethnicity, gender, sex, religion, nationality, political views, etc., the perpetrator will be issued a permanent block. If someone makes a threat of homicide, violence, revenge, etc. to another contributor, the perpetrator will be issued a permanent block.
If you are the victim of a personal attack, do not respond in like. The excuse of retaliation does not grant you immunity to the same sanction that the other perpetrator will receive, and that applies to all the items outlined in the code of conduct. Instead, contact an administrator from our background page to have the user removed.
Harassment is prohibited
With the number of arguments that happen on the wiki, there's bound to be some lingering animosity between contributors. It is possible for users to take advantage of another user's edit history being made public and attempt to contest them all, but it is prohibited. If there is sufficient reason to believe that a contributor is being purposefully disruptive toward another user or a group of users, punitive action will be taken. More serious forms of harassment such as defamation or doxing will be met with a permanent block.
Harassment that takes place off of the wiki because of ill will originating on the wiki is also punishable. Because an administrator of the Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Wiki will likely not have the power to correct something like an unfair ban from a Discord server or private message spamming on Reddit, off-site harassment of this manner will be met with a permanent block. This includes harassment that takes place on other wikis hosted by Fandom.
Predatory practices are prohibited
Attempts at phishing, scamming, or any other harmful practices that compromise the security or safety of a user's account or attempt to accomplish something similar will not be tolerated. Perpetrators will be permanently blocked.
No improper language or discussion
Under no conditions are racist slurs, ethnic slurs, or any other type of slur or hate speech allowed. This extends to usernames as well. Under no conditions is sharing N.S.F.W. content, N.S.F.L. content, or any similar content allowed (including in user avatars). All violators will be permanently blocked.
Although expletives and profanities are not strictly prohibited, please be mindful of the younger members of the community. The Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Wiki welcomes users of the age of 13 or older according to the Fandom Terms of Use, which means we must maintain a positive, friendly, and age-appropriate environment within our community. As such, overuse of expletives, discussion of vulgar or boorish topics with the profane language itself omitted, and profanities in your username may qualify as improper conduct.
