  • WIKI POLICY
This is an official policy of the Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Wiki. Misuse of the administrative tool covered below is punishable according to the administration policy unless stated otherwise. Attempts to exploit a loophole by obfuscating the intent behind a rule will still be punished accordingly. Some cases may be forwarded to Fandom staff.

Blocking is the act of revoking a user's right to edit articles, post to the forum, and comment on articles. This page outlines the Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Wiki's blocking policy that determines how administrators may issue and pardon blocks. Please remember that moderators do not have the ability to issue blocks. Rules outlined in other policies may be punishable according to the blocking policy. Please keep in mind that all Fandom wikis, including this one, observe Fandom's policies and will punish offenses according to the standard model (as long as another wiki policy doesn't specify a different punishment).

Block evasion

Under normal circumstances, blocks will be issued to individual accounts. If someone is suspected to have circumvented a block or warning by creating a new account, the matter will be investigated and the IP address rather than the account will be blocked permanently if the offender is found guilty.

Standard blocking model

Many rules on the wiki, usually unless specified otherwise, will follow the standard blocking model below. Each offense will result in the next punishment in descending order beginning with a four hour block to serve as a warning. If the violated rules are different then the punishments for each will stack separately. Offenders should be notified of blocks through their message wall if they're finite in length.

  1. A four hour block.
  2. A one week block.
  3. A three month block.
  4. A permanent block.

If an offense of the file policy made when uploading files warrants a block according to the standard model, the offender shall be blocked only from uploading files. Similarly for offenses of the forum-specific rules in the contribution policy made when contributing to the forum, violators shall be blocked only from contributing to discussions. Blocks for misuse of article comments will be sitewide.

Appealing blocks

Users have the right to appeal any block if they believe it was not issued according to the rules. In this case, if the block is still standing, navigate to an administrator or a bureaucrat's message wall on Community Central by clicking one of the links on the background page titled "C.C. Wall." If it's a former block, feel free to visit an administrator's message wall on this wiki. Clearly state the block you want to appeal by providing the block reason and date/link to the log entry, the actions that resulted in your block, and why you believe the block was not issued according to the wiki policies. It would be helpful to include "appeal" and "Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Wiki" in the title of the post. If you find yourself struggling to phrase your message, create a list of bullet points.

An appeal will be automatically denied if:

  1. The user's only defense is that they were unaware of the rule.
  2. The user has already submitted an appeal for the block that has been reviewed.
  3. The user has been blocked for the same offense since the block was issued.
  4. The user submitting the appeal is not the one who was blocked.

The only case in which you should make more than one appeal is if the administrator whose message wall you posted to isn't reviewing your appeal due to inactivity. It's also encouraged to appeal unfair temporary blocks even after they've already expired because if you violate the rule again without appealing the block, you will be blocked for a longer period of time instead of serving the block length you were supposed to serve had you been previously pardoned.

Documenting block history

So that administrators can keep track of blocks, the page found at User:<your username>/block log belongs to the local administration team and will be protected according to the administration policy. If you have filled out content on it and an administrator needs to use it to document a block, they have the right to delete or move the content to another subpage. The format for documenting a block and its respective appeal is displayed below:

Block
Date The date of the block.
Reason The offense.
Length The length of the block.
Notes Any extra comments (optional).
Appeal
Date The date of the appeal.
Status Whether the appeal was accepted or denied.
Link A link to the appeal.
Notes Any extra comments (optional).

The newest entry will be recorded at the beginning of the page.
