Shin Ryusei ｢シン・リュウセイ, shin ryūsei｣ is an Otherworlder and a disciple of Gadra. He defected to Tempest and currently acts as Ramiris' assistant.
Appearance[]
He has braided black hair that cascades down his back, complementing his Chinese-styled attire, akin to Damrada's wardrobe. His pitch-black robe not only serves as a fashion statement but also cleverly conceals an assortment of hidden weapons. These discreet armaments are a testament to his cautious nature and readiness for any situation. Additionally, his slender build further enhances his agile and nimble demeanor.
Personality[]
He is notably taciturn, often shrouding his thoughts and emotions in an enigmatic veil. His inscrutable nature adds an air of mystery to his character, making it difficult for those around him to discern his true intentions or sentiments.
Story[]
As an Otherworlder, or as some call them "Foreigners", he was enlisted as a First Lieutenant in the Eastern Empire army. He was one of the three people sent by Yuuki Kagurazaka to investigate Tempest's underground labyrinth.
Shin, Shinji, and Mark were given orders to infiltrate the Dungeon with the objective of confirming the existence of a research facility or any noteworthy site otherwise. Together with his companions, they were able to make it further than any challenger at the time, which caught Rimuru's attention and prompted a look into their backgrounds. They were easily seen through as spies but Rimuru and his staff took no immediate action against them and opted to merely observe them. Upon reaching the 60th floor, they were instantly defeated by Adalmann and Albert.
After reflecting on their stay in Rimuru City, they all expressed their satisfaction with the country and the luxuries that it provided which they miss from their home world. When Gadra cut his ties with the Empire, they followed suit and took up an occupation as researchers for Ramiris.
