Severer ｢切断者, kirisaku mono｣ is the Unique skill Kyoya Tachibana gained after being Summoned.
Abilities[]
It allows the user to make Dummy Swords ｢擬似刀剣, damī sōdo, lit. "False Sword"｣ with the power of the Space Element and freely switch out their real sword for a dummy at any time. While the dummy swords may look identical to the original, their true essence still lies in being constructs of space-distorting energy capable of cutting through almost anything. The blade of the dummy sword can detach from the hilt and splinter into countless miniscule shards, each too small to see but capable of dealing a potentially fatal injury. In the manga and anime, this attack instead takes the form of the blade duplicating into numerous copies that launch towards the target.[1][2][3]
Due to the nature of the spatial-element, injuries sustained from Severer can't be healed with ordinary Potion or Recovery magic.[4]
It is also worth noting that Severer seemingly doesn't operate on any magical principles, instead being a purely elemental ability in line with the world's natural laws. This can be observed when it was capable of functioning even inside of an Anti-magic Area.[4]
