Saika ｢西華, saika, lit. "Western Flower"｣ is Souka's subordinate. She forms part of the Kurayami, and mostly gathers information. She used to live in the Lizardmen marshes but moved to Tempest by Abiru's order.
Appearance[]
Lizardman[]
As a nameless Lizardman Tribe member, she was an olive anthropomorphic lizard with violet hair, equipped with light armor.
Dragonewt[]
After being named by Rimuru and evolving into a Dragonewt, she took a more human appearance and wears ninja-like clothes. She's also able to hide her wings and horns, which retained the color she had and makes her perfect for infiltration missions as she is able to pass off as human.
Background[]
Originally, she was a Lizardman working under the orders of Souka.
Story[]
She first appeared following Souka to Tempest after receiving orders from Abiru to sharpen her abilities. After being named by Rimuru, she began to work under Souei's orders. She has been seen fighting with Souka and the rest against Charybdis attack.
During Falmuth's invasion she was asked by Rimuru to gather intelligence within the barrier, without fighting. She then took part in Tempest's counterattack. She was sent to the north as part of Souei's team and managed to kill the soldiers without much effort.
Relationships[]
Souei: Since Souei trained Saika in espionage, they have a friendly professional friendship.
Souka: As a member of the Lizardman tribe Saika is loyal to Souka.
Touka: They came to Tempest with Souka for the same reason. They're in the same squad together.
Nansou: They came to Tempest with Souka for the same reason. They're in the same squad together.
Hokusou: They came to Tempest with Souka for the same reason. They're in the same squad together.
Rimuru Tempest: Saika is an extremely loyal subordinate to Rimuru Tempest.
Benimaru: She has an crush on him.
Trivia[]
- Her name means (サイカ) White Flower
- In the anime, when Rimuru explains that he put her under the orders of Souei, her name and Touka's name were mixed by mistake.
