Rito Hotokawa ｢リト・ホトカワ, rito hotokawa｣ is a character featured in the original story of the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: ISEKAI Chronicles video game. He's an Otherworlder who resides within the Jura-Tempest Federation.[1]
Appearance[]
Rito is a young man with short black hair and dark brown eyes. He wears a grey and red gakuran-style outfit alongside white-gold pauldrons and a white cape. He wields an axe in his right hand and a machete in his left, a style he picked up out of admiration for Kataki.
Personality[]
He shows to care about Kataki as he got concerned with him being blinded by revenge and seeing him evolve to a form that would make him lose his sense of self as Rito saw it just as bad as dying, as such he will willingly ask Rimuru Tempest for help.
Background[]
Rito is a boy from another world who ended up in the Great Jura Forest, where he was rescued by the goblin Kataki and began to work alongside him, later on he named Cait, Carr, and Gray, all of whom have been rescued by Kataki. He later joined Goblin village seeking Rimuru's help to save Kataki from losing his sense of self.
After Kataki regains his senses and lets go of his grudges and sets off, Rito chooses not to go with him but they spoke and understood each other. Following that, Rito joins the Jura-Tempest Federation, seeking to grow further and become a spiritual life-form so Kataki can acknowledge him.
Trivia[]
- Rito named Cait, Carr and Gray, but given he suffered no fatigue or weakness, it was likely equal naming.
