Paul ｢パウロ, pauro｣ is a character featured in the side story Visions of Coleus. He's at first an adventurer, accompanying Rimuru as a part of his mission, but after the conclusion of the story, he stays behind in the Kingdom of Coleus and becomes a knight.
Appearance[]
Paul is a young man with a slender but muscular build and short spiky hair. He typically wears a mixture of light leather armor with metallic pieces that cover his fists, legs, and chest. He carries a 2-meter-long pole styled after the nyoi-bo carried by Sun Wukong.
Personality[]
Paul is a simple and not particularly intelligent man who likes to solve things with brute force. Be it his bludgeoning fighting style or his tendency to show off to the ladies, he's extremely straightforward. He was considered competent enough by Yuuki Kagurazaka to be trusted with discreet and important matters, with him also going on to serve as a Knight Captain for the Kingdom of Coleus, showcasing his skill and dedication.
Background[]
Paul is a young man who originally hailed from the countryside. He left home to become a member of the Free Guild and rose to the rank of B at a fairly quick pace. He performed well on the A-rank promotion assessment and was trusted by Grandmaster Yuuki Kagurazaka to accompany Rimuru Tempest on an important and confidential mission to the Kingdom of Coleus to deal with the rogue Free Guild Branch that declared allegiance to Aslan Coleus. During the events of the story, he becomes close with the members of the Coleus royal family, with him deciding to stay and declare his allegiance to them after the plots of Karl and Gustav are dealt with. For his valor and strength, he was officially knighted, and he quickly rose to the position of captain.
