Mystic Thread ｢妖糸, yōshi｣ is a Mystic art making use of the Extra skill Sticky-Steel Thread with many variants. Users of Mystic Thread are called Thread Users ｢糸使い, shi tsukai｣.

Mystic Puppet Thread

Mystic Puppet Thread ｢操妖傀儡糸｢そうようかいらいし｣, sōyō kairaishi, lit. "Controlled Mystic Puppet Thread"｣ is a technique used by Souei against Charybdis's Megalodons. Allows the user to control the bodies of creatures that lack higher intelligence by using Sticky-Steel Thread to access the target's nervous system and override the neural massages from the target's brain with ones of their own.

Mystic Thread Binding

Mystic Thread Binding ｢操糸妖縛陣｢そうしようばくじん｣, sōshi yōbakujin, lit. "Controlled Thread Mystic Binding Circle"｣ is a capturing technique used by Souei and Rimuru. The user uses Sticky-Steel Thread to completely wrap around a target and bind them in a cocoon. The threads are imbued with Mana and are capable of binding Magic Bodies, trapping even Spiritual life-forms in place and leaving them open for a finishing attack.

Mystic Thread Shredder

Mystic Thread Shredder ｢操糸万妖斬｢そうしばんようざん｣, sōshi banyōzan, lit. "Controlled Thread Myriad Mystic Cuts"｣ is a technique used by Souei against Adalmann's Death dragon pet. The user imbues 'Insta-Kill' from the Shadow Striker Unique skill with several other negative status effects inside of Sticky-Steel Thread. The threads are capable of bypassing most resistances and even tear the target's spiritual body to shreds.

Mystic Thread Slash

Mystic Thread Slash ｢操糸妖斬陣｢そうしようざんじん｣, sōshi yōzanjin, lit. "Controlled Thread Mystic Cut Circle"｣ is a technique used by Souei against Orcs. The user strikes at targets using controlled Sticky-Steel Thread; this can easily be lethal to those without sufficient physical durability.

Mystic Thread Slicer

Mystic Thread Slicer ｢操糸妖斬流｢そうしようざんりゅう｣, sōshi yōzanryū, lit. "Controlled Thread Mystic Cut Flow"｣ is a technique used by Souei against the Seven Luminaries. The user shoots out a torrent of Sticky-Steel Thread arranged into a spinning drill-like formation, which is powerful enough to break through sheet metal.
