Luvelgé 「ルヴェルジェ, ruveruje」, formerly known as Ivaragé 「イヴァラージェ, ivarāje」, is the sentient other-self of Veldanava, born when he abandoned omnipotence and created the world. She was sealed inside the Spooky Palace by Veldanava after going on a rampage in the Central World.
After successfully absorbing Veldanava and Lucia Nasca, she would meet her end by Rimuru Tempest where they absorb and seal her away in Imaginary Space for all eternity at the end of Genesis of Rivalry.
Appearance[]
Ivaragé originally had an indeterminate and monstrous form that grew larger and more sinister as its energy continued to grow. After evolving and gaining sentience it was free to choose its own appearance as a spiritual life-form, taking a humanoid form. In its humanoid form, Ivaragé resembles a small child sporting pale skin, soft white hair, and shining golden eyes. It wears a simple dress-like outfit in addition to an oversized scarf adorned with a distinctive brooch or necklace.[1]
After devouring the remains of Lucia Nasca, she would have an identical appearance to the original with exception of small fangs.
After devouring Veldanava, she has a female armored like humanoid appearance that is described to be a mix of Veldanava and Lucia Nasca.
Personality[]
Ivaragé was originally a being lacking any emotions or coherent thoughts, only moving based on its instinct which compelled it to fight strong opponents and cause mass amounts of destruction. After the events of A Disturbance in the Royal Capital, it consumed the fallen souls of Obera's army, inheriting their hatred and evolving to gain intelligence, emotions, and desires.[2]
She's a free-spirited and person who does what she wants without a lick of hesitation, being equal parts wicked and charming with the innocence of a child. She has a deep sense of adoration for her family, wanting to reunite with her other-self more than anything and doting on her children with glee. She's beyond envious of living beings and wants nothing more than to rid herself of the loneliness that's arisen in her heart from being separated from her other-self.[1]
She would become more desperate and obsessive to reunite with her other-self as time went on: slowly discarding her care for her children upon her humiliating defeat by Guy Crimson, and, when Veldanava gave her Lucia's memories, even believing she became Lucia Nasca herself, all the while still wishing to become one again throughout it all. Upon renaming herself to Luvelgé all she wanted was to destroy the Multiverse and kill Rimuru's loved ones just to spite him for his constant interferences.[3]
Background[]
When Veldanava abandoned his omnipotence and created the world his existence became fragmented and incomplete. What was unknowingly left behind in this process was Ivaragé, a mindless being that instinctively desired to re-unite with the rest of itself.[1] To this end, it eventually found its way to the central world and went on a rampage, doing battle with the Seven Angels of Origin and Guy Crimson before ultimately being sealed away in the Otherworld by Veldanava.[4][5]
After being sealed inside the spooky palace for billions of years, it found an opportunity to break free and on a whim consumed the souls of Obera's subordinates. As a result of this Ivaragé inherited their hatred and gained the embers of intelligence, triggering the Halloween Carnival and evolving into a fully sentient being. Now wide awake and self-aware, she began to remember her origins and missed the comfort of being one with herself. Filled with loneliness, she set out on a mission to consume all worlds as a means to reunite with her other-self and become whole again.[1]
