Beginning as a humble goblin village, Tempest expanded rapidly with more and more allies joining the nation, while facing increasingly powerful enemies. As of The Eve of War, Tempest has already amassed a formidable military force in preparation against the Eastern Empire's invasion. After the events of The Abyss Unleashed, the Jura-Tempest Federation is considered the strongest nation in the World.
Principles[]
Tempest's military can be thought of as a self-defense force instead of offensive forces. This reflected by how Rimuru decided to wait for the Eastern Empire to attack instead of actively waging offensive war. They believe it to be morally right to decimate any invading forces down to the last men, but they would never kill any civilian or continue killing after the war is declared over.

Tempest's Standing Military[]
Gobta's First Corps[]
Approximately 12,100 members.
- Goblin Riders, 100 members. Evolved from the combination of Hobgoblins and Star Wolves. Each individuals are ranked A and they will serve as captains of this corps.
- Green Numbers, 12,000 members. They have been split into a host of 4,000 members, comprising three teams. The majority of them are warriors from the many tribes of the Jura Forest. Even so, they are B Rank and are a splendid fighting force.
Geld Junior's Second Corps[]
Approximately 35,000 members.
- Yellow Numbers, 10,000 members. These are the elite High orcs serving under Geld in the beginning. Individually they are of B+ rank. They are also able to unite with Geld to become a single shield. Rimuru reorganized them into teams and assigned captains.
- Orange Numbers, 25,000 members, made of the recently “born” High orcs and are B ranked.
Gabiru's Third Corps[]
Approximately 3,100 members.
- Hiryuu, 100 members. They are Dragonewts that followed Gabiru to Tempest in earlier days. Each individuals are mostly ranked Special A, but they could coordinate their attacks extremely well. Their trump card is the "Dragon Body" Transformation.
- Wyvern Riders, 300 members. Comprised solely of new applicants from the lizardmen that have since evolved into Dragonewts. They mount the Wyverns (B+ level Lesser dragon species acquired with the help of Milim) and dominate the airspace.
- Blue Numbers, 2,700 members. Comprised solely of new applicants from the lizardmen that have since evolved into Dragonewts.
Benimaru's Fourth Corps[]
Approximately 30,300 members.
- Kurenai, 300 members. A group of A ranked Ogres and a few Over A ranked Kijin led by Gobwa that acts as Benimaru’s personal cohort. Their current “level” would match the Crusaders.
- Red Numbers, approximately 30,000 Majin, mostly former subordinates of Clayman. They are mostly of B rank, with a few individuals in the A rank territory. They volunteered to protect Tempest after being treated well as POWs.
Souei's Kurayami[]
Approximately 100 members.
This unit specializes in intelligence, espionage, and assassination. Souei has sole and exclusive control over them, and few even know of them. Most known members are Dragonewt.
Shion's Personal Army[]
Approximately 10,100 members.
- Yomigaeri, 100 members. This unit of consists of individuals killed during the invasion of the Kingdom of Falmuth and revived by Rimuru, obtaining Extra skill "Perfect Memory" and became nigh-immortal. They have reached Over A Rank and are trained personally by Shion.
- Shion's Fanclub, approximately 10,000 members. They are lead by Captain Dagura, Debura, and Liura. (Rimuru incorrectly believes their numbers to be less than 1000, so his estimate on total troops is 10,000 too low).
Diablo's Black Numbers[]
They are 711 Daemons ranked Special A and above, consisting of 4 Primordial daemons, their subordinates, and unique individuals. After being summoned, these daemons are made to inhabit/possess the homunculi inside capsules developed by Tempest. Although their number are too few to call themselves as a Corps, they are considered by Rimuru to be Tempest's strongest unit.
Masayuki's Volunteer Corps[]
A group of approximately 20,000 humans residing in Tempest and nearby countries, volunteered to protect Tempest. They consist of adventurers, mercenaries and immigrants. Rimuru placed Masayuki in charge of this unit due to his unique skill, and the fact that appointing a monster to command a unit formed by humans could stir unnecessary discontent.
Dungeon[]
During war time, the dungeon becomes a fortress of sorts. Rimuru City itself can be moved to the lowest floor and the monsters in the dungeon will act as defensive forces.

A group of artificially awakened individuals equivalent in power to true demon lords that are under the command of Demon Lord Rimuru.
