Hiiro, that's my name!!
Hiiro to BenimaruHiiro 「ヒイロ, hīro」 is a character featuring in Scarlet Bond. He's a Kijin from the same village as Benimaru.
Appearance[]
Hiiro has long crimson hair tied in a ponytail, amber brown eyes, and a set of dual colored horns one of which is broken.
He wears a long white shirt, brown pants held up with a belt adorned with large Magatama beads, as well as long white socks and sandals. He also carries a Nagamaki that is as long as his body.
Personality[]
As a strong, passionate and commanding individual, he is shown to value strength and honor first and foremost. He is tormented by survivor's guilt, and seeing the other kijin was enough to quell his murderous rage towards Geld Junior.
He also shown to be diplomatically aware of his actions and is very polite towards the leader of Tempest. His core trait is his simple solving solutions and not turning away despite the risks or in some cases the chance of being manipulated easily. He cares a greet deal to Queen Towa, because she saved him from death twice.
Hiiro has a bad habit of losing his reasoning to his anger. Simply seeing Geld Junior's group set him off, completely disregarding the fact they were working on the road to Tempest. Even later, despite the fact he was told that he was being used, Hiiro lost himself completely to a violet demon's magic.
Background[]
Hiiro was an Ogre born in the same village as Benimaru and co. He showed remarkable strength and talent for fighting even from a young age and became close friends with the Young Master and Princess. As he grew he quickly became the strongest in the village, surpassing even their leader and the Old Man, and becoming affectionately called "Brother" by the entire village. Using his mastery with weapons, magic, and mystic-arts as well as his strategic mind he often found himself sparring with and training the rest of the village, teaching them to branch out from the basic fighting stye taught to them by the Old Man and developing new styles that played to their strengths and talents. He noticed Benimaru's affinity for fire and taught him Ogre Flame; took note of Shion's immense strength and advised her to use heavy weapons like clubs; and advised Souei to adopt a second sword into his fighting style among others.
To help support his village he one day decided to venture out as a mercenary alongside a small group of fellow ogres. Eventually, they were hired by Clayman as apart of his army for a period of time. When they heard news of an Orc Army from Orbic invading the Jura Forest, they deserted from Clayman’s army against the terms of his contract. As deserters they were tracked down by Clayman’s forces and systematically slaughtered. Hiiro held his own but eventually fell to Yamza after being caught off guard by his Doppelgänger. He and his men were retrieved by the nearby kingdom of Raja, with what little medical aid they had being unable to heal their mortal wounds. With little time to make a choice, Raja's Queen, Towa decided to grant Hiiro his Name, hoping it would allow him to survive his injuries. Upon waking up, Hiiro immediately set off to his village on the back of one of Raja's dragons. He arrived at the ruined village, too late to help them fend off the orcs. He decided to return to Raja afterwards, dedicating himself to repaying the debt he owed to the nation’s queen.
Trivia[]
