"Barrier Lord" Geld"守征王"(バリアロード) ゲルド, "Shusei Ou"(B a r i a R o o d o) Gerudo」, or Geld, is one of the fourth group of subordinates to be named by Rimuru Tempest. As the right-hand man of the deceased Orc Lord, he was given the same name as him, as a memento and token of appreciation, similar to how Rigur was named after his older brother.

As an Orc King, he is the leader of the Yellow Corps, that acts as both the last line of defense for Tempest as well as the main team of the country's Department of Construction and Manufacturing. Later on, he was given the Title of a "Lord" as one of Rimuru's Twelve Patrons.

Appearance

Geld is a large orc that usually wears loose pants, a large black cloak, and a necklace that is decorated with what resembles three teeth. His most notable trait, unlike most of his Orc brethren, is a mohawk-like hairstyle.

Personality

Geld is very caring and concerning, similar to Rigurdo. However, he is perhaps the most docile and hardworking among all of Rimuru's subordinates, probably due to him feeling responsible for not stopping Geld during the Orc Lord incident.

Regardless of which master he serves, he highly values any and all benefactors and would tirelessly continue working for whatever is needed to be done. Because he had endured and understood pain and suffering in his past, he became a rational and dignified monster.

Background

He served the Orc Lord as his chief bodyguard, the one who always restrained him from his self-sacrificial behavior to feed the people of the village. Even after Geld turned into an Orc Lord and went mad, he continued to serve him as his loyal confidant.

Story

He was bestowed the name Geld, to incorporate the Orc Lord's ambition, the one he got from Geld. Given that, to the Orcs Geld was an important benefactor. He evolved into the Orc King after receiving the name. He began to govern the protection of Tempest.

Abilities

While fighting under the Orc Lord he became a B rank monster and gained quite a lot of magical energy.

After evolving into an Orc King, he gained the unique skill Gourmet with abilities Stomach, Supply, and Demand. His magic energy is also pretty high, almost reaching A rank.

He also has the ability to carry things in his stomach.

Relationships

Geld

He was Geld's close aide and notably, the only Orc who's mind wasn't heavily influenced by his Lord's Starving One. He greatly respected his King and showed relief when Rimuru freed his Lord's burden.

Rimuru Tempest

They initially were enemies but held no ill intent towards each other before and after the battle with the Orc Lord. When Rimuru took him and his people under his protection through his promise to Geld, he became extremely grateful and swore his loyalty to the Slime. In honor of the Orc Lord, Rimuru gave him the same name.

Kijin

He showed remorse over his kind's actions in devouring the Ogre Village, saying how hatred isn't something that can be erased easily no matter the excuse. After the Orc Invasion ended, he was willing to offer the Kijin his head to appease their hatred towards his people. Benimaru spared him, claiming that since they serve the same master, it be waste to kill him. However, Benimaru warns he will show no mercy if Gerudo holds any ill intent towards their master. They now get along.

Trivia

  • His name may be a shout-out to the Gerudo people from The Legend of Zelda video game series. One of them, Ganondorf, often appears in his pig-headed demon form Ganon.
