Garde Myourmile (ガルド・ミョルマイル garudo myorumairu) is the head of the Jura Tempest Federation's Finances and Public Relations Department. He was the owner of a popular store in the Kingdom of Blumund before he moved into Tempest's Capital City Rimuru.
Myourmile is able to make people feel at ease with his experience and talent as a merchant and he can even tell a person's personality with a single glance.
While he may seem vulgar at times, he does know where to draw the line.
He is also a daredevil who strongly believes in his own luck.
He follows the motto of "Merchants first and foremost consider both parties' profit. Rather than relying on a poor alliance, it's better to establish trustworthiness."
Myourmile joined the Free Guild but is a formal Blumund merchant with the country's permission. It's considered rare for an individual to have the license of both the country and the Free Guild at the same time.
Rimuru invited Myormile to join Tempest. Even though he had received a license from the country, Myormile was a guild member. He has the freedom to move between countries. But letting go of this shop might prove disadvantageous in the future. So he decided to have a few people stay back in case Blumund were to flourish.
He let the head clerk take over the store. He is, in fact, a son of one of the Myormile relatives, and was sent there to study and is a smart youth that Myormile took a liking to. But, in reality, he lost his original home due to failing horrible, and only became a clerk to have a place to stay. Yet there are no qualms about his work ethic. Myourmile had initially only intended to loan the store to him as he fully expected to be able to recover the price of the store. If he couldn't make the payment, then just show that he was a failure. He was motivated by his duty as a teacher, though they were thorough regardless and made a contract for the exchange of commodities.
Five individuals, Myormile saw great potential in, chose to follow him to Tempest. Which surprised him since he never expected them to be willing to abandon their livelihood to follow him. In Tempest, a mansion was prepared for him.
In his old store, he lent out money at the highest interest rate, and many potential customers visited him daily. But he didn't meet these people personally; rather, he left it to his store attendants. As a licensed merchant, he knows many ways of making a profit. He's famous enough that even some nobles come to him to borrow some money.
- Rimuru Tempest: He covered a week's worth of drinking for Rimuru, to ensure favorable relations considering their future joint endeavors. He received the best treatment imaginable. Hence, they became friends. After Rimuru became a Demon Lord, Myourmile was offered an executive position Tempest as the head of Finances and Public Relations. Seeing a chance to make himself useful to Rimuru, he accepted the offer immediately as he left his store to be run by his assistant manager.
- Rigurd: They quickly became good friends. Rigurd was also told to treat Myormiles as the official executive head of the Finances and Public Relations department.
