Rimuru briefs everyone that they will be fighting the orcs and that if they end up loosing to quickly retreat to the village.
Meanwhile, Souei informs the lizardmen that Rimuru wishes to form an alliance. He reveals that a dryad requested Rimuru to defeat the orcs who are led by an Orc Lord, surprising the ruler for the Orc Lord existence. One of the lizardmen guards questions Rimuru's strength as he never heard of him and that they want alliance so that the lizardmen can protect them. The ruler quickly tells him to keep quiet, noticing the thread Souei wrap around his neck. Souei explains that he is isn't trying to threaten them, but won't allow anyone to badmouth his master. The ruler believes Souei must be an ogre and Souei explains that after he was named, he evolved in oni, making the ruler realize his master must be of high-rank as well. Given the situation, the ruler can't decline help from someone strong, but has a condition.
Shion, Shuna and some goblin girls are dressing Rimuru in girl clothes. Souei contacts him and Rimuru uses the opportunity to escape. Souei informs him that the lizardman ruler agreed on the alliance, but wants they to come to his land, which Rimuru had already planned to do and it will take him about 7 days. Souei describes the ruler as cautions but capable of making decisions, which makes Rimuru realize he isn't like Gabiru. Souei informs the ruler that Rimuru will be coming after 7 days and to not start the war before that. He also passes Rimuru words to be wary of his back.
When Souei leaves, the ruler informs the lizardmen that in seven days a strong reinforcement chosen by the dryads will come and until then they need to use the marshes labyrinths in their favor and only defend, without attacking as corpses are the food source to the orcs army. The lizardmen spend 4 days defending. Gabiru returns to find the lizardmen are not attacking back. His father explains that they are in an alliance with a strong force and are waiting for them, but Gabiru finds that as weakness due to his old age. He orders his men to capture his father and his close servants, and intends to take power and defeat the Orc Lord himself. He takes his father's water vortex spear and feeling its power, he gains even more confidence in his strength. As the lizardmen weren't happy with the defense strategy, they decide to follow Gabiru.
Gabiru leads the lizardmen in the battle and they start killing orcs, but are surprised to see the other orcs eating the dead.
