Dragon Body ｢竜戦士化, doragon bodi, lit. "Dragon Warrior Transformation"｣ is an intrinsic skill rarely possessed by dragonewts. The skill allows the user to enter a temporary battle transformation which greatly increases their combat capabilities similar to its lycanthrope counterpart.
Abilities[]
The user absorbs the magicules surrounding them to super-charge their body. The scales covering the user's body turn black, getting thicker and more flexible. Their muscles bulge and the user can potentially double in size. The more human-looking Dragonewts are granted a more draconic form like a majin with dragon motif. This form is called Dragon Mode ｢竜・身・変・化, doragon mōdo, lit. "Dragon・Body・Change・Transformation"｣.[1][2]
This results in an immense offensive and defensive power increase, with magic attacks against the user becoming almost useless. Even if the user is damaged, this form provides regenerative capabilities similar in effectiveness to Ultraspeed Regeneration, allowing them to recover from nearly any injury.[1]
Major drawbacks to this are the possibility of losing one's ego due to being unable to handle the power, a time limitation, and severe physical damage sustained after reverting back to ones original form. All this can be prevented and overcome if the user has trained their body and mind to withstand the immense power the form grants them.[1][3]
In extremely rare cases, it is possible for dragonewts to normalize this skill; in such cases, the skill itself is gone, but the dragonewt receives a dramatic permanent boost to their power and regenerative ability.[2]
