Class S encountered one of these phantoms, who was possessing Gesdar and was in allegiance with a band of thieves. It proved to be too strong for the students. When it tried to force Tiss to choose whom to spare so it can kill the others and enslave the surviving student, Noir intervened, wishing to repay his old debt to the class' old teacher, Shizu. The unlucky phantom was easily overpowered and killed by the Primordial, who also freed Gesdar from its possession before he killed it.
