Though he was a part of the Emperor's army, Arios held no loyalty to him and conspired with the rebel forces led by Yuuki Kagurazaka to overthrow him.

He was killed by Damrada, with his corpse being used by Kagali to fuel the creation of new Deathmen. Reborn as an undead, Arios regained consciousness inside the Heavenly Star Palace, taking in the power of a Seraph and becoming a Mystic angel.
