Some time after arriving to the Central World, Arios joined the Eastern Empire and entered the ranks of the Emperor's Imperial Guardians, distinguishing himself as rank 44 in the sequence. His specialty was in anti-personnel operations and he possessed abilities suited for assassinations. Though he was a part of the Emperor's army, Arios held no loyalty to him and conspired with the rebel forces led by Yuuki Kagurazaka to overthrow him.

He was killed by Damrada, with his corpse being used by Kagali to fuel the creation of new Deathmen. Reborn as an undead, Arios regained consciousness inside the Heavenly Star Palace, taking in the power of a Seraph and becoming a Mystic angel. He was forced to join Michael's army and participate in the invasion of the Kingdom of Englassia, where he ultimately met his end again after being betrayed by Vega.
