After the Festival祭の後, matsuri no ato is the seventy-second episode of the anime adaptation of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and the final episode of the third season.

Synopsis[]

Rimuru pays off the merchants with the gold coins he procured. Despite the merchants' continued attempts to curry favor, Rimuru declares a halt to their dealings. Gathering his allies, he calls for action against the covert activities of the "Eastern Merchants".[1]

Summary[]

A group of merchants gather around Mjöllmile demanding their payment for participating in the Founder's Festival. Duke Muese, a subordinate of Granbell Rosso, suddenly appears to offer Rimuru help with securing the payments in dwarven coins, which the merchants will only accept, so he can indebt the monster nation to him and the Five Elders so they can bring down Tempest from within, but is refused as Rimuru already has dwarven coins that he got from Elmesia; Diablo and Shion grow suspicious of Muese. Reporters enter the room as the payment is being completed, and Rimuru reveals to them what Tempest really is. After the merchants are paid in full, Rimuru tells them that they are forbidden from trading in Tempest since they didn't trust Tempest to take payment in anything other than dwarven coins. Rimuru later has a meeting their subordinates and allies to assess the success of the festival and to make deals for the future. Rimuru mentions having known of Muese's plot, and describes their ideas for the train that they plan to build. Momiji, seeing why Rimuru wanted to construct a tunnel through the Khusha Mountains, agrees to the idea. Gazel talks to Rimuru about the projected screens that he used for the Dungeon and Elmesia agrees to send magic scientists to help Tempest develop their train. Youm and Mjur, and Fuze and Veryard enter separate agreements with Rimuru regarding the Magitrain. Rimuru and Mjöllmile also talk to Yuuki and Hinata regarding the Dungeon; the latter deciding to have some of the Crusaders train there. The Rosso Family learn of Muese's failure, but they still continue their plans to destroy Tempest to take over the Central World. While talking about the Eastern Merchants' motives, Hinata tells Rimuru about Damrada and how Laplace's infiltration of Lubelius is connected to him. Later, Rimuru tells his subordinates that, after the earlier meeting, he is sure that Yuuki, Clayman, the Moderate Harlequin Alliance, and the Eastern Merchants are connected, and decides to be ready for their actions. The next day, some of the visitors leave while others remain in Tempest. A month later, Tempest receives a letter from the Council of the West.
